MycoEssence Elixir – The Essence of Nature in Liquid Form

MycoEssence Elixir is a concentrated blend of organically grown medicinal mushrooms and plant extracts, prepared using a dual extraction process. Thanks to its full-spectrum ingredients, it supports the body's natural vitality, everyday energy levels, and overall well-being.

MycoEssence Elixir contains extracts of organically grown medicinal mushrooms in a stable, standardized, and concentrated form. The product is prepared using a dual (aqueous and alcoholic) extraction process, preserving both the water-soluble and fat-soluble components of the mushrooms. The resulting extract is combined with plant-derived glycerin, which facilitates the gentle delivery of active compounds into the body while maintaining the product's pure, natural character.

MycoEssence Elixir preserves both the water-soluble and alcohol-soluble components of mushrooms and plants, keeping the natural active compounds present in a complex form. The liquid extract format offers the advantage of not containing the chitin cell walls of mushrooms, allowing the bioactive compounds within to be more readily available and accessible to the body. Thanks to the dual extraction process, the product is considered a full-spectrum extract — meaning the natural constituents of the mushrooms remain present in a complex form that harmoniously combines the benefits of traditional and modern methods.

MycoEssence Elixir is formulated according to the principles of modern and traditional plant-based dietary supplements, featuring ingredients such as Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum), Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis), Astragalus root, Acerola, and Coenzyme Q10. These ingredients are valued in both traditional Eastern and Western phytotherapy as naturally rich sources of antioxidants, polysaccharides, triterpenes, and other bioactive compounds. The product is designed to contribute to the body's overall vitality and everyday well-being.

Key Ingredients

Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum)

A highly regarded ingredient in Eastern tradition, used for centuries for its vitality-supporting properties. It contains polysaccharides and triterpenes that may contribute to the body's natural defense capabilities.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis)

According to traditional use, it may play a role in maintaining physical performance and vitality. It is a natural source of polysaccharides and nucleotide derivatives.

Astragalus Root (Astragalus membranaceus)

The formula contains Astragalus root extract in a unique form, naturally rich in polysaccharides (312.5 mg) and astragalosides (130 mg) per daily serving. Known in traditional Chinese medicine as a tonic herb, it may contribute to maintaining the body's energy levels and everyday well-being. Astragalosides are the characteristic triterpene glycosides of the plant, which have attracted increasing scientific interest in recent years, particularly in research related to cellular renewal and telomerase enzyme activity. These studies have primarily been conducted in vitro and in preclinical settings, suggesting that astragalosides may contribute to the natural renewal processes of cells and their protection against oxidative stress.

Acerola (Malpighia glabra)

A natural source of vitamin C that contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Its antioxidant properties help protect cells from oxidative stress. * (EFSA)

Coenzyme Q10

A compound involved in the energy processes of cells, supporting the body's natural energy production.

Scientific Background & Technology

MycoEssence Elixir is produced using dual extraction — a combination of aqueous and alcoholic extraction — preserving the full spectrum of active compounds from the mushrooms. Organically sourced raw materials and a precise, standardized extraction process ensure the product's stable and reliable quality. The liquid formula may also be absorbed through the mucous membranes, enabling fast and gentle intake. All ingredients are free from additives, naturally derived, and laboratory tested.

MycoEssence Elixir thus sits at the intersection of traditional use and modern scientific knowledge — offering plant-based active compounds that support the body's natural vitality and physiological balance.

Ingredients

Scientific References Regarding the Ingredients

Under industry regulations, it is prohibited to attribute to any food product any claims relating to the prevention, treatment, or cure of disease. According to Decree 37/2004 (IV.26) ESzCsM on food supplements, the health-supporting effects of the nutrients and active compounds of mushrooms/plants cannot be legally described in Hungary. The following descriptions serve an educational purpose based on the current state of science, prepared on the basis of domestic and international scientific literature. The research refers NOT to the product, but to the ingredients.

Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis)

  • Cordyceps sinensis supports immune system function and the body's resistance.
(Source: Dr. Zhu at the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine 1998)
  • Cordyceps may increase cellular oxygen uptake by up to 40%.
(Source: Lou Y, Liao X, Lu Y. Cardiovascular pharmacological studies of ethanol extracts of Cordyceps mycelia and Cordyceps fermentation solution. Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 1986;17(5):17-21,209-213)
  • Cordyceps sinensis may be able to dramatically increase cellular energy (ATP/IP ratio) by up to 55%.
(Source: Reported XU C.F et al in ZHU J-S, Halpern GM, Jones K. The Scientific rediscovery of a precious ancient Chinese herbal regimen: Cordyceps sinensis: Part I. J Alt Comp Med 1998;4(3):289-303)
  • Cordyceps sinensis may be able to reduce tumor size in cancer patients. Chinese and Japanese researchers have studied the beneficial effects of Cordyceps sinensis on cancerous tumors. In one study, a reduction in tumor size was observed in 46% of 50 lung cancer patients. Japanese researchers suggest that Cordyceps sinensis enhances immune system function and thereby the body's resistance to cancer cells, a claim supported by mouse studies.
  • Cordyceps may improve heart function. Several studies have concluded that Cordyceps sinensis reduces cardiac arrhythmias.
(Source: Reference 2, Chapter “Effects on the Cardiovascular System”, pp. 436–441)
  • Cordyceps may help normalize cholesterol levels. Four studies showed that Cordyceps sinensis can reduce total cholesterol by 10–21%, triglycerides by 9–26%, while increasing good cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol) by 27–30%.
(Source: Reference 1, Chapter “Effects on blood lipid metabolism and arteriosclerosis”, pp. 299–301)
  • Cordyceps may improve respiratory function. Numerous studies confirm that Cordyceps sinensis can reduce several respiratory-related conditions, such as chronic bronchitis and asthma.
(Source: Reference 2, Effects on the Respiratory System, pp. 429–432)
  • C. sinensis reduces fatigue, increases physical performance and ATP synthesis.
  • C. sinensis protects the body against harmful free radicals.
(Source: Reference 1, Chapter “Antisenescence and Oxygen-Free Radical Scavenging Activity”)

Ganoderma lucidum / Reishi

  • G. lucidum is the only known source of triterpene fatty acids called ganoderic acids. Of the 200 identified triterpenes, ganoderic acids A, B, and C are believed to have hypoglycemic effects (Hikino 1985; Tomoda 1986).
  • Ganoderic acids F, B, D, H, K, S, and Y are likely to have blood pressure-lowering effects (Morigawa 1986).
  • The probable mechanism of action of ganoderic acid B (ganoderol) in glycemia is the inhibition of α-glucosidase, which influences carbohydrate digestion (Fatmawati 2011).
  • Ganoderic acids may inhibit several enzyme activities, including angiotensin-converting enzyme activity (Huie 2004), and may suppress sympathetic efferent activity (Lee 1990) — contributing to blood pressure reduction.
  • Ganoderic acid S has been identified as an inhibitor of platelet aggregation (Shimizu 1985; Tao 1990).
  • Most ganoderic acids are also thought to be active inhibitors of cholesterol synthesis (Komoda 1989).
